Keep your memories,

Recycle your beads.

Did you know that Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans produce up to 2.5 million pounds of waste each year?

Did you know that most of this waste- including beads- is actually recyclable?

Glass Half Full is excited to announce that we have partnered with the French Quarter Management District and Downtown Development District to recycle Mardi Gras Beads this carnival season! We will be working with hotels along Canal Street to collect unwanted beads and throws that would otherwise end up crowding landfills and polluting drains and waterways.

Ask your hotel where to find its bead recycling station OR leave your unwanted beads in your room upon checkout for collection.

All beads collected through this partnership will be donated to Arc GNO, a local organization that provides employment opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities by sorting, packaging, and reselling Mardi Gras beads and throws.

Thank you for helping us make Mardi Gras more sustainable!
